Congratulations and thank you to all South Carolina Kratom Advocates. The Governor has signed the Kratom Consumer Protection Act, making South Carolina the 16th state to enact kratom consumer protection legislation. This is especially significant because South Carolina has considered kratom criminalization and prohibition numerous times in recent years. The legislation restrictions sales to those over 21, and very importantly provides labeling requirements so consumers know what product actually contains. The AKA will of course continue to work in and monitor South Carolina kratom legislation and in local jurisdictions.
