I was on opiates like OxyContin from a severe shoulder injury .. The medication ran out and left me in much worse state of health than before the injury. This caused me untold misery and led to seeking any opiates on the black market..

I’ve been utilizing red bali kratom for the past 5 months now (wish I’d found Kratom 20 years ago..)and have no negative side effects other than the taste. It does NOT depress my respiratory system in any way. Also taking more than my therapeutic dose has the positive effect of creating nausea rather than becoming overly sedating.

The two Main effects of Kratom are effective pain management and positive mood/anti anxiety. The kratom powder also is a much more effective way to wean down to nothing over time should I need to.

The bottom line is kratom and its effects has almost nothing in common with other narcotics. And should always remain classified as a medicinal herb and/or health supplement.

I am a 54 year old grandmother. I was a nurse for 20 years before becoming disabled by a back injury. I’ve had 7 back surgeries and a hip replacement. For the past 9 years I have been on every opiate there is for chronic pain, and also have a spinal stimulater implanted. I have also been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Since I have been using kratom and turmeric I am no longer on any meds except a small bp pill. The pain and arthritis meds were destroying my liver, and not even helping. I was miserable, doped feeling, depressed, and had a terrible memory. With kratom and turmeric I’m feeling better than I have in 10 years! No more morning stiffness, no more fatigue or problems sleeping. My quality of life has returned. I’m doing things that I had given up on. My memory has returned and my will to live is back. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful plant.

My Name is Everett Eldredge. Licensed building contractor in Mass. I am 67 yrs old. I suffered from clinical depression for many years and was taking 300 mg of ephexor a day. About a 1 1/2 years ago I stopped taking Ephexor because of migraines and I couldn’t stand putting this in my body anymore. My son suggested Kratom. After a little trail i found Green Malay to be of great help with depression. It would be another gift to the drug companies, and another burden to the public to make this natural herb illegal. I have found no side effects of this amazing herb. The drug companies rule this country. Enough is enough, Keep this legal.

My name is Robert I am a 24 year old man who is a full time father of one beautiful baby boy. I first discovered kratom when I was in college in 2012 when I wanted to find alternative ways for people to quit using prescription drugs. It was on a paper for my English class it could be on any topic and that is what I chose. I was researching on what could be taken and I read about kratom. It had me so curious that I decided to buy some. My father is a diabetic and has a severely damaged spinal cord from a work related injury so he was in a lot of pain and did not want to use his pain medication so I have him kratom and it worked for him he could get up and move his legs weren’t nearly hurting him as bad anymore. Over the years my friends and myself developed issues with addiction of pain medication from working in factories so I decided that I did not want to be on it anymore and could not get off. I have used kratom for my pain issues and to taper my addiction down. I currently live across the street from a suboxone clinic and would love to be an advocate for the use of kratom instead of suboxone which is much more harder to come off of than opiates and the withdrawals are much worse and for a longer period of time. I feel I could help a lot of people with a brief explanation of the use of kratom.

I came from a broken home, father was a drug dealer, mom left when I was 8, father was abusive, gave us his drugs, i was doing marijuana and huffing anything i could get my hands on when I was 9. I was highly intelligent though in spite of it (my grandfather was an architect) and I always prayed to god to make something out of myself someday to right the wrongs my parents had done to me. I endured a lot of abuse as well, needless to say I had some kind of a breakdown when I was 21, couldn’t see straight, major psyche problems, bad case of bi polar with a little bit of schizo thrown in. 20 years on different psych meds then one day I just started taking pain killers and they kind of helped my psychosis so I started down that road…. got up to about 150mg a day of percocet, even shot up dilaudid a few times, but anyway started lookin on the internet for a cheaper way to get by and saw the word “kratom” in a post…. went from being a whacko to now having a successful business raising two kids all thanks to kratom, 4-6 tsp a day… bout 100$ a month at the most, (compared to 600$ at least in pain killers) THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT OWN YOU, OR KRATOM, WE THE PEOPLE OF THIS EARTH OWN IT. IT’S OURS!!!! to all you perfect people who judge, NOT EVERYONE HAD A GOOD CHILDHOOD, AND THERE ARE MORE OF US THEN THERE ARE OF YOU! I pray to god that kratom will not be messed with, it’s nice to be able to support my family and be happy without UPPING MY DOSE!

I became addicted to Methadone in 2008. I moved from Methadone to Suboxone to Subutex. After 11 years of addiction I heard about Kratom and decided to try some. It made my detox from Subutex very light and now I am clean. All due to this natural herb. What I get from the DEA and the FDA is they do not want people to come off of the big money makers such as Methadone, Subutex or Suboxone. Why? Money of course. So sad there is so much greed….

I’m a 68 years old cancer patient, actually survived a throat and a thyroid cancer the last three years partially with the help of Kratom in the most difficult times. Kratom is relatively harmless and helps many people with health as well as other issues in life. I’m not a regular user, but when used it, it helped me too. I would like Kratom to remain legal please.

I was a hardcore iv drug user for years, I tried suboxone and was on that for 10 years all while continuing through the nightmare of addiction. I went to a few rehabs 2-90day inpatient treatments and 2-30day treatments and countless out patients and sober house over 3 years..11 years into my addiction.
Opiates were my DOC and learned a lot about my disorder over those last 3 years. I haven’t used heroin/prescription pill/crack..etc since March 2015 and finally got off Suboxone in October 2016. Suboxone withdrawal is was the hardest thing to come off and though I had periods of success on it there was always too much temptation to sell extras, trade, take more, take less. You get the picture it also severely impacted my memory.
Kratom had been a god send, it helps motivate me. It relieves pain after a long day of snowboarding. And as long as access to whole plant Kratom remains legal I don’t see my self ever messing with street drugs again, ruining the lives of others as well as my own was the reality of being an addict. Kratom is safe and effective. And also has very few side effects, I’m guessing I’m not alone here. Thank you for fighting for us. I still can not believe the DEA removed the ban. Finally they are thinking scientifically and seem to be listening more to the people. They see everyday the traumatic effects of Heroin, Meth, Cocaine, Bath Salt, and illegal prescription pill use. Kratom is about as dangerous as coffee maybe even less so :)

Kratom has proven to be a natural, more healthful way of keeping myself away from strong opioids. I was prescribed percocet when I was 13, when I was 18 I started shooting heroin. The years between, as I gradually ate more pills more often, I never thought I’d find myself with a needle in my arm.

Thankfully, I have Kratom. It doesn’t get me “high,” rather it seems to act as a light antidepressant overall and keep me from craving more hedonistic pleasures such as Oxycodone, Hydromorphone, or Heroin. It even helps get rid of cravings for Cocaine, although that is something I discovered to be true only for the acute period after heavy use (ie. the day or two after a night of crack-smoking, I’d be obsessing over getting another hit, but with a good balanced strain or blend, it puts my mind at ease and I come back to reality).

I would love to help raise awareness and further contribute. I have experience both phonebanking and canvassing, so let me know!

I almost cut off my left index finger. But I also had a cycle wreck and had my right hip replaced n got addicted to oxy. And got off it after a long battle with the demon in pill form. Kratom helped me to do that. You people in Washington we all know why yer doing this cause the P. O. S. PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES ARE lining your pockets to do it y’all want us addicted to any thing you can to get us to spend our money to make you richer than you already are and don’t you guys have anything better to do than sit around to try to make people’s lives more miserable than what they are being addicted to opiates shame on you you’ll have to answer to God one day

I am a 31 year old Kratom user from Bronx, NY. I am also a recovering opiate addict for about 12 years. I first heard of Kratom about 10 years ago. I wish I would have just stayed on Kratom and never went back to Oxycodone and Heroin.

Like many addicts I suffer from anxiety and depression. It is so bad that I receive disability because of it.

If it were not for Kratom, there is no doubt in my mind I would be homeless living on the streets trying to desperately fund my addiction to ease my symptoms.

I fear if it ever banned, my anxiety and depression will not be controllable and I will go back to Heroin.

I’m a 46 year old mother of four and have used Kratom every day, several times a day, for at least 2-3 years. I take Red Vein Riau for morning arthritis but also the Super Indo for a “wake me up” along with my coffee or tea. About a year ago I was prescribed Adderall to help with energy/focus and was thrilled since I suffer from PTSD and the resulting Adrenal Burnout; however, I soon realized that I absolutely and positively prefer my Kratom since it provides the exact same relief but without the irritability and edginess. I find Kratom to be so safe that I even used a little to help ease my daughter’s tooth pain when nothing else would help. Of course, the Kratom didn’t help either, lol, since nothing hurts more than those tiny little tooth nerves, but still, I know that it’s safe enough to give her in small quantities. If Kratom were to ever be scheduled/banned, I don’t know what I’d do because I simply prefer it to most all pharmaceuticals, as they’re known for treating a condition but also causing even more ailments that you will no doubt need another type of medication to treat and so on and so forth. With Kratom, there’s none of that & that’s why I love it.

I am a 60 year old pharmacist and have been completely disabled due to back pain, fibromyalgia and peripheral neuropathy for 12 years now. I have an intolerance for everything except opoids, but despite high dose narcotics, I am barely able to function. I bought my first Bali Kratom capsules last week and it has almost completely taken my pain away – with no side effects. With my physician constantly threatening to take my pain medications away, this is truly a God send. I know how the pharmaceutical industry operates. Anything that threatens their profits must be banned immediately, irregardless of how much good it might do.

I am 55 years old, and Kratom has saved my soul. I have arthritis and extreme anxiety. I have been on Xanax for 15 years and Percocet for 6. The first time I took Kratom I was able to withdraw from opiates in 3 days and Xanax within 1 month. I was a lost soul with the opiates. It took away my family from me. I can’t believe now that it’s been 6 months without any prescription drugs. My life is filled with living pain free and anxiety free. I take botanical Kratom only. It’s the absolute best. I thank God for Kratom.

I am 43 years old and I am a lead senior software engineer. I have the horrible condition of fibromyalgia that kept on getting worst and worst. I have this condition pretty badly, to the point that I was the employee that used to get the most sick at the office. Your nerves are so overactive that any feeling gets accentuated. Imagine feeling the Flu where you feel it to your bones, it is like that but all the time. I really wanted by live to end because the only thing I could think is how in the world am I going to live like this. So I started exercising and studying herbs. I started taking Tumeric, ginseng, Suma Root. All that helped my immune system and it made the pain more tolerable plus my treshold of pain was also higher since I had no other choice. So then one day on my research I started reading about Kratom and its effects on the immune system and pain. I bought some capsules, I took only three of those capsules and after 45 minutes, my fibromyalgia started fading, I was feeling less pain and felt my nerves were not on the edge. It was such a relief that I started crying, I finally found something that helped. After trying synthetic medicine, over the counter pain medicine (which now I developed a serious allergic reaction to them), and other herbal medicine, finally this plan was my solution. I have been since supplementing daily as the condition starts coming back after 8 hours but it is very gradual. I have been doing this for 5 years and I sometimes think I don’t have fibromyalgia and I run out. Ha, that’s when I get reminded and I buy it again. I am so happy that I can take this and it side effects are all positive. It won’t cure my condition but with it I can live a normal life, otherwise I would be useless and miserable. I thank God in guiding me with my herbal studies to find this plan as it has made live a life without massive pain

A few weeks ago, I went to visit an old friend who introduced me to kratom. I knew almost instantly that it was going to significantly impact my life. I’ve been plagued by anxiety for over 15 years, and crippled by depression for 5. I’ve tried various medications and treatments, but none worked. Kratom turned-out to be the miracle I’d hoped for, but never expected to find. I can’t say it “cured” me…but I CAN say I feel like my old self again. It’s like I’ve been released from my own personal prison. Now that I’ve been taking it regularly for over a month, I’ve noticed it’s helped me in other ways as well. It rid me of my restless leg syndrome; eliminated my lower back pain; significantly helped me through a terrible bout of pneumonia; and even seems to have boosted my metabolism. My only complaint is that I wasn’t introduced to kratom sooner. Given the wonders it’s done for my health and well-being, I’ve decided to dedicate a part of my life to spreading the word about kratom, and fighting those who seek to demonize it. I even started a YouTube kratom channel (KratomKrazed) for information, news, reviews, and general discussion ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpyFvyrlRmO_KSR-f2D2y9Q ). It’s a new channel with only a couple videos, but with the help of the kratom community, it’ll grow into something special…of that, I have no doubts. For now, I’d like to thank those who worked hard to help keep kratom legal for those of us whose health and well-being depend upon it. THANK YOU!!!

I came across Kratom after my meds were taken due to not being able to hold them down due to multiple health diagnoses, it’s one of the best things that happened to me since the controlled substances made me so sick with vomiting, I could not believe the relief it has provided me without the worries of addiction, it’s truly a wonderful product for us who don’t want to be on controlled substances and it REALLY is heaven sent and I thank God everyday for this blessing of this plant, I can’t imagine the way I would be without it, I now can function thru my days instead of being so debilitated in pain on my couch, please we can not let this ban happen cause too many would suffer
